Basset Hound Races

The bassets bounce back to the track on MONDAY, AUGUST 3

Basset hound races are coming back for another round in the 2026 season at Fort Erie Race Track on Monday, August 3. Beginning after horse racing ends, this friendly non-wagering event is fun for the whole family! Spectator attendance is free. 

Horse racing begins at noon and the dogs will hit the track after the final race. Basset races likely to begin around 3 p.m.. Fans can enjoy live music and food trucks, and shop the vendor market between races.

WE LOVE ALL DOGS, BUT ONLY DOGS TAKING PART IN THE EVENT AND SERVICE DOGS ARE PERMITTED AT FORT ERIE RACE TRACK.

Fort Erie Race Track is a family-friendly venue, and all ages are welcome to attend. This is a non-wagering event.
